The Gruffalo

Since its premiere in 2001, this hit production has delighted well over a million youngsters and adults with tours of the UK, Australia, Far East, Europe and the USA. The show was also released as a commercial DVD.

JollyGoodTunes composed and recorded all the songs, musically directed the show and recorded a cast CD. During the devising process we worked closely with the director and cast, creating songs which helped create the characters and enhance the show. They are still regularly involved in re-castings and rehearsals.

We saw the stage show and bought the CD for playing in the car and by the time we had got home we were all humming “GGGGruffaloooo.” Within a day, we were all going about our daily business humming, singing or reciting songs from the show – and, more worryingly, waking up in the middle of the night with them still playing on a loop in our heads!
